THE WEATHER.
The Government Meteorologist wires as follows at noon to-day: — Southerly winds, moderate to strong prevailing, and veering by west to north .shortly. The weather will probably prove cold and showery, but indications are for a temporary improvement soon. The barometer has a rising tendency. Seas considerable, tides high.
