Aii Italian naval engineer has designed a new type of unsinkable cargo boat, which has been accepted by the Italian Ministry of Marine. The vessel has a displacement of 10,300 tons, and can carry fiftyeight hundred tons of cargo. It has a double skin, the space between the inner and outer hulls being filled with coal, or other materials, which is intended to protect the ship from mine or torpedo.
