(lie Public Health Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General has conferred upon all District Health Officers to close all or,any hotel bars, bars of chartered clubs, or other places within their several districts respectively for the purpose of more effoeluaily cheeking or preventing the spread of influenza. All Theatres, Dancing Halls, Billiard Saloons, Concert Room-, Shooting Galleries and other holdings or rooms used as places ol public entertainment or amusement; all Marble Refreshment Rooms and Tea Rooms to he closed, except during the following hours, 7 a.m, to 9 a.m., 1- noon to 2 p.m., 5 p.m. to r i p.m. All buildings used tor purposes of public worship to he closed, Sunday included, at 5 p.m. daily. All buildings used for Public Meetings, except when used for meetings for public health purposes and dealing with organisations for that purpose; ail proposed University or ollmy examinations by an educational body to be cancelled, or if proceeding at present to stop at once. All places wherein is carried on the businesses of a Barber or Hairdresser, all Public and Private Schools, Sunday Schools and University and other Colleges, all places used for Race Meetings, Shows or Exhibitions of any kind.
