BOWLING.

A pairs tournament was played on Hie local green yesterday, leu pairs taking part: The condition.-, were four gniaes of eleven heads each, and the pair scoring the largest aggregate to be Hu* winners. The green was in perfect order, ami Hie players spent a most enjoyable lime. A 1 the conclusion of the four games E. Walker and. Spring (s) and McMu.rray and K. Jj. Whibley (s) were equal, having each won all their matches and their aggregate scores totalled fit) points each. It was decided to play a final match of five heads, and this resulted in a win for AlcAlurray and Whibley by two poinds. During the afternoon refreshments were provided by Hie Indies. In the final the first four beads were even, each side scoring a two and a single. On the last head Whihley’s team scored a pair, making the final score 5—3.
