TOWN CLERK’S REPORT.

The Town Clerk's report, as follows, was read and adopted at last night’s Council meeting: — “The road staff lias been engaged on the following works since the' last meeting of the Council, viz., laying and fixing pipes in Awahou Drain at the gasworks; cleaning the water channels in various street'- 1 ; trimming and filling holes in Purcell, Johnston, Hall Streets and Avenue ■Road, In accordance with instructions given at last Council meeting, an order for metal was placed with Mr W. Anderson, some of which has come to hand, and is of fair average quality.”
