DRAWN IN BALLOTS.
Since the Military Service Act came into operation, 134,739 men have been drawn in the ballots, the lota! being made up as folloAvs;— First Division, 80,100; Class A, Second Division, 13,4G5; Class B, 17,498; Class C, 23,707. Of the number, 40,222 Averc passed fit for service. Exemptions totalled B,BOS.
