The S;i 1 vat ion Army him son! to Franco upwards of thirty motor ambulances, manned by Salvationists, That those Salvationist drivers have the reputation for earing for the souls of the men as well as for their bodies, the following incident will prove: — One of the cars was being driven up to a. hospital in Franco. Just as (he driver was drawing near with his human load, he was slopped by an olhcer coming from the hospital. The Salvationist saluted the officer, who said: “I am glad to meet you! Just as I was leaving the ward where i had been seeking information, a wounded man looked up and said: ‘Sir, can you read a few verses of Scripture !' I was glad 1 had my Testament in my pocket. I am a believer in religion. I road a few verses to the mam and then, to my surprise, he asked me to pray. I have never prayed audibly in my life; I have never been able to do that I I came away feeling so badly about the dear fellow. Coming down the steps I saw you, and I thought,- that perhaps you, would do what 1 had not the eourage to dor’ The Salvationist, thanking the officer for the opportunity, went to the man, and was able to pray with him before lie passed away.
