TO-MORROW’S SEND-OFF.
To-morrow's send-off, organised by the Borough Band to local men, including members of the Band, promises to be a popular function. The amalgamated bands will assemble at the practice room at 1 o’clock, and will march to the Council Chambers, playing a rousing march en route. On arrival at the Chamber, two figures of the waltz, “Cherries,” will be played, after which the Mayor will deliver an address and make separate present atiotls on behalf of (lie Patriotic Society, the Band, and the employees of Mr Nyc's mill. The Band will then contribute a national item. The procession will then assemble. The buglers will sound (lie “genera! salute,” after which (ho Band will strike up the National Anthem. The procession will then move off to the railway slat ion, to the stirring strains of the quick step “Beehive March.” On arrival at the railway station, (ho Band will play “Three Cheers for the Red, White and Bine,” followed by and address by (lie Rev. W. Raine. “God be with You till We Meet Again” will lie played, followed by appropriate national airs, On returning to town the Band will render the mareh “Victoria,” and will bring the function to a close with a few selected national airs and the National Anthem in front of the post offiee.
