PATRIOTIC SHOP.
The Patriotic Shop on Saturday was in charge of Mesdames A. S. Easton and Davis, and good business resulted, the takings amounting to .(*3(l Ids (id. This result is surprising, in view of the fact that an appeal was made simultaneously by the Girls’ Guild in aid of the Copper Trail Fund. There were a number of competitions, which were well supported, and keen interest was evinced in the results. The following were the winners:—Dinner, Mr P. Lmnsden; cake, Mr I' 1 . S. Moorehousc; camisole, Miss Kathleen Green; bag, Mrs Mandl; dolt s name, “Mary,” Mr Moliekey; socks, Mrs 0. .Symons; sheep, 51 fibs., Messrs P. Robinson and J. Bun 1 ; ham. 17.1 lbs., S. B. Collins and Mrs Speirs. Gifts are acknowledged from the following:—Mr S. Easton, Chung Willi, Mrs A. Ross, Mrs W. E. Barber, Stewart, Mrs John Robinson, Mrs Healey, Mrs Eraser, Mrs F.
