Coffee should be made with cold water, and 15 minutes is the proper time to allow for it to come to a boil. It should boil live minutes. After cutting off the rind of bacon, dip each piece in Hour, and fry or toast it quickly. The Hour prevents the bacon from running too much to fat, and also improves the Havour. To prevent a door banging back against a wall, fasten an old rubber heel-pad on to the Hour at such a distance from the wall as to break the force of the jar, Wipe gilt picture frames occasionally with a cloth wrung out of eojd water in which an onion lias been boiled. This helps to keep Hies away from the frames. Brush wire mattresses over with a little parallin when doing cleaning. The parallin helps to prevent the wire from rusting.
