BOWLING.
The local green is looking real well, and if the weather continues favourable the opening of the season will not be Jong delayed. A number of members last evening gave the ground a good rolling, which considerably improved the surface. To-morrow afternoon a working bee will be on the ground from two o’clock, and members are earnestly appealed to, to roll up and give a hand. In the past the wofk has all fallen on the few willing ones, and it is certainly most unfair to expect the same ones to do the work all the time. A full muster is required to-morrow afternoon, as there is a lot of work to be done. The. ladies are providing afternoon tea. There are a lot of weeds in the croquet lawns that want cutting out —a nice easy job, and one which the ladies are going to give a hand with. A meeting of the bowling club committee is to be held this evening, when the date of opening will be decided.
