ALLEGED SEDITION.
A CASE AT WAIROA. Wairoa, Yesterday. At the S.M. Courl to-day the local liar tendered a welcome to the new S.M., Mr J. S. Barton, who replied in suitable terms. A farmer. T. liomley, charged with publishing in the bar of the Wairoa Hotel a seditious statement, to wit, “I hope the Huns come here and heat you, and the Massey crowd. The Hun would make as good bosses as Humphrey Bayly." Owing to illness of defendant’s counsel, the case was adjourned till 9th Octobei’, on hail in the amount of £IOO being lodged.
