THE MINE ZONES.
WAR RISKS ADVANCED. For some considerable time there has been a war risk of Is per cent, on all coastal shipping. An advance of an additional 2s per cent. on freight entering the affected mine zones has now been imposed, making a total rate of 3s per cent. Wellington and East Coast shipping is not affected by fhe additional war risk, but all West Coast freight, whjcli passes through these zones bear the advance. Australian freight has always burpe the additional rate.
