THE WEATHER.
The Government Meteorologist wires as follows at noon to-day: — Tlte indications are for heavy westerly gales. The weather appears likely to be cloudy and unsettled.; Heavy rain is to be expected, with rivers flooded. Weather likely to become colder. The barometer has a falling tendency, rising after about 24 hours.. Sea very heavy. Tides good.
