THE resumption of the delta It; on lilies in the Canadian House of Commons almost brought about tt crisis. Not content with the Government’s attitude on the question, Mr Richardson;’ the member for Springfield, Manitoba, brought forward an amendment against the bestowal' of any titles in the future. Sir Robert Borden re-staled (lei policy of the Government, which is. that no more hereditary titles shall he bestowed and no more ordinary titles, unless on the Prime Minister’s advice, with the exception of those granted to soldiers or directly by the King. Numbers of Unionist members showed a disposition to support Mr Richardson's amendment. Sir Robert Borden deelnred be would resign. The Opposition refused lo allow the amendment to be withdrawn. On a division it was rejected by a majority of 33 votes,
