PATRIOTIC SHOP.
The Patriotic Shop on Saturday was in charge of Mesdames A. J. Gibbs and Jennings and Miss 0. Nye, who report good business. Keen interest was taken in the various competitions, and the winners of same wfere as follows: — Cake, Mr C. Preston (No. 20); dinner, Mrs A. Baker (No. 23); groceries, Mr W. Bullard (No. 57): The ■weight of the sheep was 46 lbs,, and the correct weight was guessed by Messrs J. Burr, R. McMurray, C. Spring and F. Gardes. Gifts are acknowledged with thanks from the following:—Mesdames Speirs senr., J. Walls, John Robinson, C. Symons, Thynne, A. J. Gibbs, Jennings, Jas. Robinson, A. E. Green, Harvey, Yanko, C. Robinson, F. Robinson, Henricksen, Furrie, A. S. Easton, Kellow, A. Ross, Kennedy, G. T. Woodroofe, Misses Edlin, Nye and Ross, and Messrs L. Gibbs, R, J. Thompson, M. E. Perreau, W. Davis and 0. Robinson. The shop on Saturday next will.be in charge of Mesdames McMurray and Renton.
