THE JUGO-SLAVS CASE.
MEN ORDERED TO WOHK. Auckland, Yesterday, Mr Haws on, 8.M., gave reserved judgment in Hie ease against the Jugo-Siavs tried at Taumarunui, arising out of their refusal to perform work required of them. Each defendant was convicted and order-; ed to come up for sentence if called upon within three months, if he fails to undertake such work required hy direction of the Commissioner or the Court. The Magistrate added that he considered that it was in the interests of the country that they should carry on a national service than that they should be sent to gaol.
