WEDDING
A marriage c.rcmoiiy of some local interest tool, place last Wednesday in Ros;.i,alh Presbyterian Church, Welling; m. The coni meting parties wcr.' Miss May Wriglcy. late of Foxlon, and Mr J. R. 11. McKenzie, of Wellington. The otliciating minister, Rev. G. K. Aitkcn, being also a form, r Foxlon resident. The Church wa • most tastefully decorated by 1 In* friends of the bride, and presented a delight fill spectacle as Ihe bridal party entered the '-hnrcli. The bride wore a most artistic dress of p.de pink crepe deehine covered with cream georgette with train and small knots of orange blossom cohspieu -ns. The veil was of net handsomely worked, crowned with a wreath of orange blossom. She carried a haquet of exquisite white (lowers, and a beautiful necklace of pearls. The bridegroom’s present was a ci,‘scent of diamonds, and the bride’s pivsent to (he bridegroom a large diamond collar stud. The bridesmaids —Miss McFarlane and Miss L. Carter —were sweetly attired in ereme crepe-de-chine dresses, and hats to match. The bridegroom’s present to the. bridesmaids consisted of a gold bangle with wristlet watch.
The reception took place at the Haitaitai Bowling Green pavilion, where a pleasant time was spent, and the usual toasts honoured. The bridal party left to spend tho honeymoon in Rotorua and Auckland. The bride’s travelling dress was of navy blue heavy crepe-de-idiine and hat to match, with a handsome set of Russian fox furs.
