ENTERTAINMENTS.

LEE TOY CHUNG COMPANY.

Leo, Toy Chung, the Oriental Magician, will appear at the Town Hall in conjunction with his vaudeville artists, on Tuesday, July 23rd. Lee Toy Cluing has proved himself to bo tho king of entertainers, and Ids appearance here should lie hailed with delight by the public of Foxton. His easy, graceful manner whilst on the stage catches on with Jus audience at once, and as he performs his different wonders every one is held spellbound by the manner in which he handles a pack of cards, causing them to do his bidding, run up his arm, jump into the air, etc. One would think that he possessed supernatural powers. Then comes “The mystery of the Chinese Temple,” in which Lee Toy Chung impersonates the priest of the temple, and performs different miracles, such as swallowing lire, and then blowing showers of sparks, sheets of llame, and clouds of smoke from his mouth, nfter which comes his marvellous production of different articles in (puck succession, until the stage is tilled with ilags/handkercricfs, lanterns, etc. This is absolutely a masterpiece, and has never been performed successfully by any other magician. Lee Toy Chung carries a company of high-grade artists, each being a star in (heir own line. Percy Carr, the droll comedian, has a distinct style of his own, and is always greeted with shrieks of laughter. Mr R. J. Oswald, character actor and monologue intertainer, is a wellknown artist throughout Australia, and Little Georgia, the ventriloquial comedian, keeps the audience convulsed with laughter. , Professor D’Almaine, the medical hypnotist, presents a novel entertainment, which is altogether different from any other hypnotist.
