CONCRETE ROADS.

The experimental length of concrete, road in Rangitikei line Hint has been laid by Mr G. Craw, a member of (he Kairauga County Council, has now been eompieled, and on Tuesday afternoon it was thrown open for traffic. The piece of road, which is 18 feet wide, presents a splendid even surface, and Mr Craw’s idea is to demonstrate that if roads are formed in this manner, Hie cost of ivpkeep will lie a negligible quantity, and Hie saving effeeled thereby will more than eonipensale for the inereased initial eost.

In reply, Cr. Craw said that nnhody was more anxious for the sucaess of the experiment than he was. He was pleased at being allowed in do the work, and lie thanked the Conned for allowing him to undertake il. They could now only wait for the test.
