MAGISTRATE S COURT.

QUARTERLY RETURNS

During the quarter ended Tune otllh, 1018, nine sittings of (he Court were held locally, three being presided over by the Magistrate, and six by Justices. CIVH.. Courtcen cases were heard by the Magistrate, the amount sued for being £l2O 11s 4d, and the amount recovered £BS 15s ()d. Fifteen-plaints were entered, eight judgment summonses issued, and (ive .orders made on judgment summonses. The amount of civil tecs paid in slumps was £l2 7s Od. CRIMINAL.

Thirteen males mid two female* wore summoned or apprehended, of whom nine males and two females were lined, and orders were made in two eases. The lines and fees totalled £lO 14s Od. OLD AGE PENSIONS.

Three old age pensions were granted.
