BOROUGH FINANCES.
The Borough Treasurer reported as follows at last night’s Council meeting:— The sum of £770 7s 4d was received during the month of .June, and placed to credit as under: District fund account £705 4s 10d, cemetery account £5 2s fid. The balances of (he various funds at the Bank of New Zealand as at the 30lh day of June, ■ 1.91.8, were as follow: District fund account,'debit, £l,lOl 8s 7d; cemetery account, credit, £ls 17s Bd, and tho ledger balances as at the same date as follows;- Cemetery £ls 17s Sd, Whirokino bridge loan £23 11s Kid, roads arid streets loan £2O Is fld, Shannon bridge £l4 3s Bd, Whirokino bridge additions £24 Its 7d. mads and streets No. 2 £ls 2s lid, BeaclTroad loan £25 2s sd, Library £lO fis sd, reserves £45 1.5 s od, sanitation £B7 0s 7d, Town Hall £SO 2s Sd, all in credit, a total of £350 0s 3d. The accounts at debit were: Gas works £-123 10s fid, general £fill Kis od, imprest cash £lO. hospital and charitable aid £3 0s 7d, council chambers £2 0s lOd, gas works interest £(}(), total £1,525 I.ls 2d.
