PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH.

A meeting of managers of the ahove was held on Tuesday night. Present : Rev. J. H. Bredin (moderator), Messrs Claris, Henderson, McColl, McMun’ay, Jas. Ross, Jno. Boss, Parkes, Hornblow, Alex. Speirs, and W.. Renton. Matters in connection with finance were discussed. Mr Henderson was accorded a vote of thanks for fixing wire netting to windows. Mr Renton reported re purchase of motor car for minister. lie stated that £l5O was in hand for this purpose, and ,£SO more was required. Messrs Alex. Speirs and Claris were appointed to collect donations in Foxton. An application from the Sabbath school secretary was read, asking that the school be enlarged, as the building was too cramped for the classes - , also asking for six forms for the infants. The managers personally contributed the amount required for the latter purpose. After discussion, the managers affirmed the desirability for enlarging the school, and it was resolved to hold a conference with the school teachers, Women’s Guild, and P.W.M.U., to discuss ways and means of carrying out the addition. Other matters of minor importance were discussed, and the meeting rose.
