CORRESPONDENCE.

(To the Editor.)

Sir. —Now, as my friend, “Citizen,” has corroborated my words when I stated in my previous letter that his kind of social sacrifice was hut a veneer to the shallow mind is further evidenced by his production, of the evidence of his want of intellect which caused him, to stray away from (ho subject at issue, and lake a wild ramble into the Jungle of birds’ nests, whiskers, hulls, and what not, and to describe himself as a windmill. Wdl, his statements were certainly windy. Like (he proverbial red rag lo a hull, the mention of “Labour” caused him to see red, and he came forth with his most intellectual effort. But 1 have forgiven many who could not grasp the hand that stretched forth to help them reach the same intellectual plane that “Citizen” admits Labour has reached, for which compliment I hasten to thank him. Now, I am sure there is some goodness in “Citiz.en,” and if he will only come along, wo will help him to see the error of his ways, and when he is educated to Labour’s platform, who shall say but what he may become a worthy member of Parliament. Sq come along, brother, and we will help you to see that there is something in helping even a “Citizen” who has been seeing some of the things he wrote about in his last epistle, that Labour seeks to put forth their effoi’ts in an intellectual and agreeable manner, leaving the less gentlemanly methods to those who are best adapted for it. Thanking you, Mr Editor,—l am, etc., LABOUR.
