EDUCATION BOARD.
The Education Board held a special meeting on Wednesday to consider the resignation of the Chairman, and transact other business, Saturday Classes.- —It was decided to discontinue the attendance of pupil-teachers and probationers living a distance away from the Saturday classes, conditional on their attending the winter school. Resignations accepted. —I. Mead, C. Keir, M. Broughton, I. Kerslake, N. 'Faulkner, M. Taylor, C. L. Price, J. McCarthy, and S. Willis (storeman).
Miss M. D. Daniell, at present at a school in the Wellington District, is to he asked to accept the assistant leaehership in the secondary department of the Feilding High School. Miss Daniell was at one time in the primary department of the same school. In addition to environment certificates, the Board’s agricultural instructors arc to he asked to recommend schools for special certificates for primary agriculture. The following appointments have been made by Hie Board: Campbell Street, acting third assistant, Mr F, G. Kibblewbite; Ohakunc, first assistant, Mr C. P. Bates; Obakune, second assistant, Miss A. E. Cleuiancc; Aramoho, acting first assistant, Mr J, D. Aitkcn; Victoria Avenue, eighth assistant, Miss E. M. Short; Aramoho, fourth assistant, Miss G. Maxwell ; Manguweka, second assistant, Miss M. Herd; Mamimii, assistant, Miss K. L. Weasa; Manulahi, assistant, Miss K. L. Tarrant; Kaitiki, sole teacher, Miss C. Orr; Nuknmaru, sole teacher, Miss 0. C. McLean; Pohonui, acting sole teacher, Miss C. Newton; Kokoriki, sole teacher, Mr W. J. Barham.
