SUICIDE WHILE OF UNSOUND MIND.

At the inquest on the body of John Mobray Rogers, found in the harbour yesterday, the evidence showed that the deceased had fought in Gallipoli, and was returned wounded two years ago. He underwent a serious operation at the Dunedin Hospital as he could not sleep owing to a noise in his ears. Deceased became very excitable, and constantly complained of pain in his side and head. At Gallipoli a piece of shell struck him in the groin. Qn the day of his disappearance he seemed to be temporarily insane. A verdict was returned that deceased committed suicide while of unsound mind, due to war experiences.
