Manawatu Herald TUESDAY, MAY 28, 1918. A GOOD SUGGESTION.

ELSEWHERE in this issue a correspondent suggests the formation of: a local club, and is prepared to assist in its inauguration, provided sufficient interest can be aroused in the movement. The suggestion is a, good one, and if; a suitable room or building can be procured, would fill a long-felt want. At present there is no assembly room where young men can meet for social intercourse. Hence we see groups iu the main thoroughfare nightly holding up verandah posts, when the time might be more profitably spent were such a club in existence. We suggest that Mr Large convene a meeting of all interested, to discuss the proposal.
