EFFICIENCY BOARD RESOLUTIONS.
SINE DIE CASES,
The trustees of the Palmerston, Efficiency Board met on Thursday to consider their reports upon thir-
ty-seven cases which had been adjourned sine die, and which, in .view of the shortage of men in the present crisis, were to he reviewed by the Military Service Board. After discussion, the following resolutions were unanimously passed: —
“That before married men Avith children are taken into camp the military authorities should send abroad every available home service man noAV employed in camps and jnilitary establishments, and that the same di’astie investigation should be applied to the cases of all such men as they are now making Avith regard to the sine die eases of farmers and other reservists.” “That in all eases Avhere German parentage may preVent an appellant from going to the front, if his circumstances permit, he should be called upon to pay the full cost and maintenance of a substitute.”
“That, as far as possible, details concerning financial and personal matters affecting appellants should be regarded as confidential, and that the military service boards should control and restrict publication in such cases.”
