A FORGED RECEIPT.

POSTAL EMPLOYEE’S LAPSE, Dunedin, May 22. In the Supreme Court this morning, Clarence Herbert Croeott, aged eighteen, who pleaded guilty in the Lower Court to forgery at Oamaru, was admitted to probation for three years. He was a postal employee, and forged a recepit for a registered letter in order to cover up a fault in connection with the letter. The money taken from the letter (£2) had been refunded.
