DESERTER ARRESTED.

Oreymouth, Yesterday.

A young man named Edward Conway, who is under military orders to proceed to camp this month, anti who is a recent arrival from the North island, was arrested on board a steamer last night. He was found behind a bunker bulkhead, under a coil of rope, by the police, a few hours prior to the vessel's departure. He was remanded till Monday to allow the police to com-: plete enquiries.
