CONSUMPTIVE SOLDIERS.
PLANS FOR CURE. On a site about four miles from Waipukurau, Hawkes Bay—in a 10-. cality recommended by experts — the Defence Department will have, as soon as possible, a sanatorium for soldier consumptives. The Minister is eager to have the building done as quickly as' practicable, for iie realises the importance of early treatment of eases. Hope of a cure can be held confidently if a patient receives the right treatment in good time. Preliminary plans have been submitted, and the working plans are in course of preparation. It is intended to have accommodation for a hundred men at the outset. Extensions will, be made in accordance' with the needs.
