MOTOR SPEED LIMITS.
Speed regulations were diseuss-i ed at a special conference of representatives of the New Zealand Automobile Union, held in Wellington on Friday afternoon. Delegates were present from as far south as Dunedin. It was resolved to recommend to the Minister of Internal Affairs —(1) That the minimum speed limit that should be permitted to be fixed by city councils, borough councils, and town boards be fifteen miles per hour, subject to a reduction to ten miles per hour in dangerous places; (2) That such speed limits be in defined streets, subject to the approval of the Minister: (3) that speed limits across intersections of streets be not less than ten miles per hour, and round comers of such streets eight miles per hour,” ,
