HOSPITAL BOARD LEVIES.
The Hospital Board has found it necessary to make a fresh assessment for the coming year. The levy on each contributing body is as follows :—Kiwitea County Council, £732 13s 2d for hospital and charitable aid and Old People’s Horae maintenance, £6119s 4d for capital expenditure on hospital and Old People’s Home; Pohnngina County Council, £430 10s 2d and £37; Kairanga County Council, £1,089 16s and £92 8s 2d; Oroua County Council, £1,07’9 9s 4d and £9l SsTOd; Munawatu County Council, £B6l 6s 6d and £72 15s; Palmerston North Borough Council, £1,073 10s 2d and £92 4s 8d; Feilding Borough Council, £293 2s 8d and £24 17s 2d; Foxton Borough Council, £9O 9s 8d and £7 14s 4d; Rongotea Town Board, £l4 9s 8d and £1 4s Sd; Horowhonua County Council, £1,224 15s 4d and £lO2 16s lOd; Levin Borough Council, £lO5 5s lOd .aud £8 18s 8d; Shannon Borough Council, £42 1.7 s lOd and £3 12s; Otaki Town Board, £7O 8s 8d and £5 19s 4d;—total, £7,115 Is and £602 19s. It has been decided to make a levy of 7s 4£d in the thousand pounds of the capital values of the contributing authorities for the maintenance of the hospital, Old People’s Horae, and for charitable aid expenditure for the ensuing year, and that of this sum Is fld in the one thousand pounds of capital values, with subsidy, be allocated to charitable aid expenditure and the maintenance of the Awapuni Old People’s Home. It has been also decided that a further levy of 7MI in the one thousand pounds be made for the purpose of providing for interest and sinking fund on the-loan for buildings, etc. , v
