By advertisement iu another column, notice is given by the Clerk of the Licensing District of Otaki that the next quarterly meeting of the Licensing Co.mraittee will be held on Friday, June 7th, and that all notices of applications for licenses, renewals, transfers, or removals must be sent in duplicate to the clerk at least twenty- one days before the day of the meeting. On Tuesday next the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., will hold a clearing sale of dairy cows on behalf of Mr N. I, W. Brown, of Himatangi. The sale will be held in the Hiraatagni yards, and will commence at 12.30 o’clock. Mr Brown is disposing of his stock owing to difficulty in getting labour. The cows are a good lot, due' to calve early, and the returns for last season were just on £2O per cow. For full particulars see advertisement.
