PATRIOTIC SHOP.
The Patriotic Shop was open on Saturday last, under the charge of Miss Signal, assisted by Mrs Cowley and Master Vivian Ross. The competition for the weight of the sheep was keenly contested. The weight of a hamper of pickles and jam was guessed by Mesdames Witcheli and Green and Corpl. Bullard. Gifts are gratefully acknowledged from Mesdames Newth, Healey, Jas. Barber, Kellow, Davies, Woodroofe, F. Robinson, Yaukon, Jas. Robinson, A. Green, Rough, S. Easton, Henricksen, L, Parker, A. S. Easton, D. Purcell, King, Baker, Percy Easton, Griffin, Gibbs, Misses Speirs, Thynne, Mavis Dunn, Reta Dunn, Messrs T. Bowe, Bock, E. P. Osborne, Bullard, and Master David Dunn and “A Friend.”
On Saturday next Mesdames Gibbs and Jennings will have charge of the shop.
