FOXTON HARBOUR BOARD.

MEETING OF SUB-COMMITTEE. At a meeting of the Sub-commit-tee of ’the Foxton Harbour Board, held, ye ; ste]rday, the question of a’ site for the proposed swimming baths was fully discussed with the Mayor (Mr Chrystall). It was finally decided to hold the matter over for a month, and in the meantime further information is to be obtained, particularly in connection with the boat shed site. The Secretary was instructed to make enquiries as to a suitable cottage for the temporary accommodation of the Harbour Master. It was decided to ask Mr Scott to lay off a section for recreation purposes, and sections for residential purposes at the Beach. The draft agreement for grazing rights of the Signal Station Reserve was approved, and that the matter of cutting and stacking firewood and battens, and the repairs to fences, be left to the Secretary.
