THE WEATHER.
The Government Meteorologist wires as follows at noon to-day:— The indications are for southerly winds moderate to strong. The weather will probably prove cold and showery. The barometer has a rising tendency. Sea considerable off coast, tides good. FORECAST BY MR C. WRAGGE. The fallowing weather report was issued by Mr Clement Wragge yesterday : A disturbance “Python” has two centres, one west from New Plymonth, and the other east from Port Chalmers. The umbra of the former is now affecting the entire West Coast. Strong winds or gales from between north-east and north-west will thus prevail, with considerable rain, the wind, later on, shifting to west-south-west. Shipping on the West Cdast and in the vicinity of Cook Strait is especially warned.
