SHOOTING TRAGEDY.
PERPETRATOR STILL AT LARGE. / 0,1 i?)o ru, April 10. There are no new developments in connection with the. shooting tragedy at Gemmell’s Crossing. A large posse of police is searching for the perpetrator, hut has not found any trace of him. Reports have been current that the fugitive has been seen at various places distant from the scene of the tragedy, bill: has pyovej) that these Avere unwarranted. Miss Burke, one of the Auctims of the shooting, still lies in a precarious condition. Mr Bartholomew, S.M., opened an inquest, this morning on Burke's body, but after evidence as to identification had been heard, the inqmifc was adjourned sine die.
