EMERY BROS.’ CIRCUS.
TO-NIGHT. The above circus paid a return visit to Foxton last night, and played to a full tent. Besides old favourites, new talent was seen since, last appearance. Miss Gertrude Emery, a clever aerial gymnast, did some clever and sensational work in mid-air; the Golden .Sisters again scored a success in their serio and dancing turns; Bobo the Clown was as funny as ever; Miss Macutting, rag-time singer and clog dancer, was very entertaining; while MacDonald, the inimitable Scotch humourist and dancer, kept the audience in good humour. Professor Webb’s clever troupe of performing dogs and horses were a show in themselves. To-night the management offer £1 to any one who will sit Jelly'Eish, the Australian outlaw, for 30 seconds. A local rider has consented to accept the challenge. The show, on the whole, is versatile and full of interest. The Borough Baud played selections during the evening, and will again assist at tonight’s performance.
