CONCERT AT THE BEACH.
1 TO-MORROW NIGHT. A first class concert: programme has been arranged by Mrs Teviotdale for the entertainment, organised by Mrs Grant, to-be held in the Church at the Beach to-morrow night. The items are as follow: — National Anthem; song, Mr Hooker; song, Miss Stewart, song, Mr Thompson; song, Mr Signal; recitation, Mrs Cronqnest; song, Messrs Corbett and S. Reeve, with violin accompaniment; song, Miss Signal; song ,Mr Barr; song, Miss Grant; violin solo, Mr C. Simmons; song, Mrs Freeman; song, Mr Reeve; song, Airs Teviotdale; song, Mr Cronqnest; violin solo, Master Stewart Grant; song, Miss Signal; duet, Messrs Signal and Barr. The Foxton Brass Band will he in attendance, and will play a number of selections before the concert. Arrangements have been made to convey patrons from Foxton to and from the concert. The vehicles will leave the Post Office, where those who wish to 1)0 present are requested to meet. The proceeds of the concert are in aid of the Beach Improvement Fund, and the programme of those organising this fund includes the erection of a suitable hall at the seaside where future socials can be held. It is a good cause, and will do doubt receive generous' support from Foxton. A rehearsal is to he held at the Beach to-night, and arrangements have been made to convey ers to and front ,same. All-taking pari are requested to .meet at the Post Office at 8 b’clock to-night, at which time the cars will leave.
