PRESENTATION.

The members of the local Methodist Church made a presentation to Mr Daniell, local stationmaster. and church steward, in the Town Hall supper-room last night. The. Mayor, on behalf of the Church, presented Mr Daniell with a set of military brushes. In doing so, ho referred to the recipient’s loyalty and devotion to the church, and expressed regret at his departure. He, also referred to Mrs Daniell’s connection with church affairs,. Mr Daniell suitably replied, after which those present joined in singing the hymn “God will Take Care of You,” Mr Daniell has been, transferred to the Lower Hutt station. The date of his departure is not yet known.
