PATRIOTIC SPORTS GATHERING.
OROUA DOWNS TO-MORROW,
The third annual Patriotic Sports gathering in aid of the Orotm Downs Red Cross Guild* wijl be held in Mr Hammond’s grounds, Oroua Downs, to-morrow, the first event commencing at II o’clock. The programme, which appears In full in our advertising columns, is a good one, and includes three hunters’ compel titions, pony leaping, ladies’ and men’s driving competitions, classes for best boy and girl riders, young ladies’ and married ladies’ races, competitions and races for the children, and novelty races and competitions, etc. Valuable trophies have been provided for all events. All entries close on the ground. A brass band will be in attendance. The price of admission to the ground is one shilling, and children of school age will be admitted at half-price. In the evening a dance will be held. Admission, gentlemen 2s, ladies Is. If you want to enjoy a good day’s outing, don’t fail to attend this sports gathering.
