OLD DINKUM BILL.
(Adapted by Will Lawson.) Old Dinkmn Bill, from Frying Pan, Lay down and dreamed a dream, That all around (he world he ran As swift as Phoebus’ team; He sped by Atbabascas’ lake, He hurried to (lie Horn, He went where Iceland’s seagulls wake The echoes of (lie morn. Across the wide Siberian waste His phantom footsteps passed, And down to Kerguelen raced Befgre the northern blast. Bill’s body never left the tent; But when old Bill awoke, He swore that everywhere lie went He saw the Y.M. Bloke. The rhyme will be complete if we Just add these lines to say: ‘‘Jiomember Bill’s strange On lied Triangle Day.”
