THE WEATHER.
The Government Meteorologist wires as follows at noon to-day:— The indications are for southerly heavy gale; winds backing by west to south. The weather will probably prove wild and stormy. Heavy rain is to' be expected, with rivers Hooded. The barometer has a falling tendency, but rising fast after about 10 hours. Seas very heavy, tides good.
