BOWLING.

A x-ink from the local Club played the holders of the Dixon Cup on the Feilding green on Saturday afternoon, suffering defeat after a well contested game by nine points. On the first head the home team put on a four, and after the seventh head the score was: Feilding 10, Foxton 3. With eleven heads still to play Foxton was one down, 11 —10, but after the afternoon tea adjournment the home team got another lead on, and eventually-won by the above mentioned margin.
