THE WAR LOAN.
Elsewhere in this issue the Minister of Finance advertises the prospectus of the War Loan of nine and a-half millions. The loan bears interest at the rate of 41 per cent, free of New Zealand income tax.. Provision has been made whereby people of moderate means may subscribe to the loan, and their investments Avill hear interest at the rate of 5 per cent., but the interest Avill not he exempt from income tax. The investment is a gilt-edged one, and as money is absolutely essential for Avar purposes, no doubt the loan Avill he fully subscribed on closing day. For fpl! particulars see advertisement.
