TOWN CLERK’S REPORT.

The Town Clerk reported at last night’s Council meeting as follows; The road staff has been engaged on the following works during the past month, viz., tarring Main Street, removing willows from Awahou drain, Russell Street and Avenue Road, building concrete culvert over drain in Harbour Street, kerbingjootpath, Avenue Road, and general maintenance work. It is proposed to proceed with the tarring of the Avenue Road footpath during the present month, and if sufficient tar is available, to give the Main Street, from Wharf Street southwards, a finishing coat. —The report was adopted.
