HORTICULTURAL SHOW.
TO-DAY; AND TO-MORROW. The local Horticultural Society’s Autumn Show was opened in the Town Hall this afternoon. All the classes are well represented, and there is a good and varied display. Among to-night’s attractions will be a vocal and instrumental programme. Hetty’s Orchestra will provide a programme of music in the Hall, and the Borough Band will play selections outside the building in the evening. The vocal programme is in the hands of Miss D. Signal. The usual interest centres round the cookery class, the points prize for which is Messrs C. M, Ross Co.’s trophy. The decorative class has found the usual favour, and as in former years difficulty has been found in making the final decisions as regards the superior merit of one exhibit as against another. The points prize in this section is Mr Renton’s trophy. The full prize list will appear in next issue. The show will be open again tomorrow night.
