MR. HOLLAND ANNOYED.
SPEAKING at a public meeting in Wellington on Sunday night, Mr Holland, the defeated Labour candidate for the Wellington North seat, said the Prime Minister was smarting under the lash administered by the Labour Party in. the Wellington North fight. The man who had come worst out of the fight, Mr Holland declared, was the Prime
Minister, who had thrown the dignity of his high office to the winds in his endeavour to sling mud at the Labour candidate. He was of opinion that the electors would show their appreciation of such tactics when they had a general election. The electors will, we believe, also have cause to' remember the disgraceful tactics of an organised band of the extremtf Labour section, w T ho howled down the Prime Minister and Minister fou Finance when they attempted to address the electors on behalf of tho National Government. Mr Holland must not forget that the sane elector sees a little further than his nose.
