PATRIOTIC SHOP.
Mrs Baker and Miss Speirs had charge of the Patriotic Shop on Saturday last, and report a good day. ' . • The surprise packet, containing among other things, a pair of dressed ducks, was won by Mrs Mandl, with No'. 44, while Miss Dulcio Hawke, with No. 23, won the cushion.
Gifts are acknowledged from the following: Mesdames Renton, Speirs, May, King, Hughes, W. Honore, Healey, F. Robinson, Galland, W. Barber, A. S. Easton, Jas. Robinson, L. Parker, Woodroofe, John Robinson, Gibbs, W. Nye, W. Signal, C. Robinson, Henricksen, stall, Messrs Pec, G. Honore, Bowe, and Master Daniell. On Saturday next Mrs John Robinson and Mrs Harvey will have charge of the shop. The following are the dates allotted for quarter commencing on Ist March: —March 2nd, Mrsßaker and Miss Speirs; March 9th, Mrs John Robinson and Mrs Harvey; March 16th, Mrs Alex. Ross and Mrs P. Procter; March 23rd, Miss Robinson and assistants; March 30th, Mrs Arthur Harper and assistants: April 6th, Mrs Gibbs and Mrs Jennings; April 13th, Mrs Kellow and Miss Signal; April 20th, Men’s Day; April 27th, Mrs Jas. Robinson and Mrs Green; May 4th, Mrs McMurray and Mrs Renton; May 11th, Mrs Chas. Robinson and Miss Symesj May 18th, Mrs Sydney Easton and assistants; May 25th, volunteers wanted. A meeting of the Executive Committee of the Patriotic Society will be held on Thursday evening next, at the Council Chamber, at 8 o’clock.
